What Happens to Leftover Paper

Paper is our basic raw material. Every day we consume large quantities of it – and that's precisely why we approach it with maximum responsibility. Our goal isn't just to sort correctly, but to minimise waste already during production itself and ensure that every piece of paper is reused or recycled.
Sustainability in practice doesn't mean nice words, but concrete procedures. And these have a clear system with us.
1. We prepare prints to generate as few offcuts as possible
For each order, we carefully plan:
optimal arrangement of print motifs on the sheet,
most suitable paper format,
minimisation of technological trims.
Thanks to smart planning and an experienced team, we can reduce the amount of waste to an absolute minimum already at the preparation stage. The fewer offcuts created, the smaller the ecological footprint and cheaper production.
2. We recycle every piece of waste paper – without exception
All paper that passes through our operation, we sort and hand over for recycling:
production offcuts,
older test sheets,
office paper,
employees' paper waste.
No paper arises with us that would end up in municipal waste. Everything that can be recycled, we truly recycle.
3. We reuse larger offcuts in offices
Before paper ends up in recycling, we try to give it a second life. Larger, clean and unprinted pieces of paper we use as:
notes,
internal forms,
papers for previews,
substrates for print checking.
This extends the material's lifespan whilst reducing consumption of new office papers.
4. We donate older paper sheets to schools, nurseries and non-profit organisations
If sheets appear in our warehouse that are no longer suitable for professional printing, we definitely don't throw them away. On the contrary – we give them value where it's appreciated:
nurseries use them for crafts,
schools for art and technical activities,
non-profit organisations when working with children and community activities.
Material that would otherwise end up as waste helps further – and we consider that genuine sustainability.
5. Every piece of paper gets recycled with us
Our principle is simple and is a fundamental element of our ecological strategy:
“Not a single piece of paper from us ends up in the bin. We recycle or reuse everything.“
This reduces the ecological footprint of production, supports the circular economy and shows that even a large printing house can operate sustainably and modernly.
Recycling as part of company culture
Recycling isn't just a rule – it's the daily habit of all employees. Thanks to this, we can maintain very low waste production and a high recycling rate in the long term.
In combination with other ecological steps – use of waste heat, photovoltaics, EUDR materials or responsible logistics – recycling forms a solid foundation of our sustainable strategy.
